Plain-English summary: The Founding Member program is an annual subscription to Aurelo Gold at a locked-in rate of $99 per year. It is NOT a one-time payment for lifetime access. You will be charged $99 every year on your renewal date until you cancel. As long as you stay subscribed, your price never goes up, even if Aurelo raises Gold prices later.
1. Overview
During the Q3 2026 launch quarter (July 1, 2026 through September 30, 2026, or until the program cap of one hundred (100) participants is reached, whichever is sooner), Aurelo is offering a limited Founding Member program.
These Founding Member Program Terms supplement and form part of the Aurelo Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the general Terms of Service, these Terms control with respect to the Founding Member program.
2. What You Get
As a Founding Member, you receive:
- A Gold subscription at the locked-in price of $99.00 per year. This is the recurring annual subscription rate.
- Protection from future Gold price increases. Even when Aurelo raises the standard Gold subscription price in subsequent years, your annual renewal price will remain $99.00 — provided your subscription remains continuously active.
- All Gold tier features as they exist now and as they evolve over time.
- A discount on Gold Family upgrade. If you choose to upgrade to Gold Family while still a Founding Member, the upgrade price is the standard Gold Family rate minus $4.00 per month, for as long as you remain a Founding Member.
3. What This Is — and What It Is Not
THE FOUNDING MEMBER PROGRAM IS A RECURRING ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION. IT IS NOT A ONE-TIME PAYMENT FOR LIFETIME ACCESS. YOU WILL BE CHARGED $99.00 EVERY YEAR ON YOUR RENEWAL DATE UNTIL YOU CANCEL.
“Locked-in pricing for life” means that your subscription price is locked at $99.00 per year for as long as you remain continuously subscribed. It does not mean:
- That you have paid up your subscription forever.
- That you can cancel and later resubscribe at the locked-in rate.
- That your subscription will never end.
If your subscription lapses for any reason — whether by your cancellation, by failed payment, or by any other interruption — your locked-in rate is forfeited. If you later wish to resubscribe, you will pay the then-current standard Gold subscription rate, not $99.00. Aurelo will not run a second Founding Member cohort, and there is no path to restore the locked-in rate after lapse.
ATTORNEY REVIEW NOTE: Section 3 is the highest-priority review item across all five documents. The marketing language “locked-in pricing for life” creates real consumer-confusion risk because “for life” is colloquially associated with one-time-payment lifetime products. The current language explicitly negates that interpretation in three separate places (the warning callout, the bullet list of what “locked-in” does NOT mean, and the lapse provision). Please review whether this is sufficient or whether additional measures are warranted, such as: (a) a pre-purchase confirmation screen requiring affirmative checkbox acknowledgment, (b) a 7-day post-purchase email confirming the recurring nature, (c) different marketing language entirely (e.g., “Founding Member rate, locked while you stay subscribed”).
4. Eligibility and Cap
To enroll as a Founding Member, you must:
- Be eligible to use Aurelo under the general Terms of Service (Section 4).
- Complete checkout at getaurelo.app/founding-member during the Q3 2026 program window.
- Provide a valid payment method to Stripe.
The program is capped at one hundred (100) total participants. Once one hundred (100) Founding Member subscriptions have been sold, the program closes. Any attempted purchase after the cap is reached will fail and no charge will be made.
Aurelo will not run a second Founding Member cohort. Aurelo will not extend the Q3 2026 window. Aurelo will not increase the cap.
5. Billing
Founding Member subscriptions are billed by Stripe under the payment method you provide at checkout. Founding Member subscriptions are not eligible for in-app purchase through Apple or Google.
Billing terms:
- You will be charged $99.00 at the time of initial purchase.
- Your subscription will renew automatically each year on the anniversary of your initial purchase, at $99.00 per year, until you cancel.
- We will send you an email reminder at least seven (7) days before each annual renewal.
- Sales tax may be added if applicable in your jurisdiction. Sales tax is calculated at the time of charge based on your address.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your Founding Member subscription at any time:
- In the App at Settings → Subscription → Cancel.
- Via Stripe customer portal (link provided in your purchase confirmation email and in account settings).
- By emailing jackie@getaurelo.app with the subject “Cancel Founding Member.”
Cancellation is effective at the end of your current paid period. You retain Gold access through that date. No refunds are issued for partial periods, except where required by applicable law.
Cancelling forfeits your locked-in $99.00 rate. If you later resubscribe, you will pay the then-current standard Gold rate.
7. Refunds
Founding Member subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If your Founding Member subscription is terminated by Aurelo for cause (such as a material violation of the Terms of Service), no refund will be issued.
8. Failed Renewals
If your annual renewal payment fails (for example, because your card expires or your bank declines the charge), Aurelo and Stripe will:
- Notify you by email.
- Retry the charge over a period of up to fourteen (14) days.
- Suspend your Gold access at the end of your current paid period if the renewal cannot be completed.
If you successfully update your payment method and complete payment within thirty (30) days of the original renewal date, your locked-in $99.00 rate is preserved and your subscription continues uninterrupted. If thirty (30) days pass without successful payment, your subscription is treated as cancelled and your locked-in rate is forfeited.
ATTORNEY REVIEW NOTE: Section 8 grants a 30-day grace period before forfeiture. Please review whether this period is reasonable and consistent with consumer-protection expectations. We chose 30 days to give users a meaningful opportunity to fix accidental payment failures (expired cards, etc.) without losing the locked-in rate.
9. Aurelo Discontinuation
If Aurelo permanently discontinues the Gold subscription tier or shuts down the service, your Founding Member subscription will end and no further charges will be made. Aurelo will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Aurelo’s obligation in such an event is limited to a pro rata refund of the unused portion of your most recent annual payment, where required by applicable law.
10. Founding Member Status Is Personal and Non-Transferable
Founding Member status is tied to your Aurelo account. It is non-transferable. You may not sell, gift, or assign Founding Member status to another person. If your account is closed, your Founding Member status ends with it.
If you upgrade to Gold Family as a Founding Member (Section 2), the discount is applied to the household’s billing while your Founding Member subscription remains active. If you cancel either the Family upgrade or the underlying Founding Member subscription, the corresponding terms in this Agreement apply.
11. Disputes
Disputes related to the Founding Member program are governed by the dispute resolution provisions of the Aurelo Terms of Service (Section 15), including the binding individual arbitration clause and the class action waiver.
12. Changes to These Terms
Aurelo may update these Founding Member Program Terms from time to time. For material changes, Aurelo will provide at least thirty (30) days’ notice by email. Material changes that would adversely affect your locked-in price or the core benefits described in Section 2 will not apply to your Founding Member subscription as long as it remains continuously active. Other material changes (such as updates to the cancellation procedure or to billing-administration mechanics) take effect for all Founding Members on the stated effective date.
ATTORNEY REVIEW NOTE: Section 12 attempts to immunize the core economic bargain (locked-in $99/yr, all Gold features) from later unilateral modification, while preserving Aurelo’s ability to update administrative provisions. Please review whether this two-tier change-management framework is enforceable and whether the carve-out for “core benefits described in Section 2” is sufficiently precise to be relied on by Founding Members and by Aurelo.
